Vintage Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring, c.1970s

A starburst of 0.60ct round brilliant cut diamonds radiates from the dark blue, oval-shaped sapphire at the centre of this disco era cluster ring. The dazzling diamonds are estimated as G in colour and VS2 in clarity. The sapphire, which works in perfect harmony, weighs 1.00 carat. Crafted entirely in 18 carat white gold, the ring’s original wirework setting is a classic example of vintage 1970s era basketwork.
