Vintage 10.00ct Ruby and Diamond Thistle Brooch, c.1960s

This beautiful brooch boasts a total of 10.00 carats of Burma rubies on the head of the Thistle. The grain set stones are a stunning red colour and work perfectly with the 18 carat yellow gold setting. The metal work continues into the stalk and leaves of the brooch, showing the level of craftsmanship. Along the leaves there are transitional cut diamonds totalling 1.00 carat, estimated to be G in colour and VS in clarity. The diamonds sit within 18 carat white gold collets. The brooch also comes with a certificate from The Gem and Pearl Lab in London. They have confirmed the rubies are natural with no evidence of treatment and their origin is of Burma. The piece also comes with an original fitted box.
