Vintage Five Stone 0.75 Carat Old Cut Diamond Ring, c.1930s

A vintage c.1930s five stone ring featuring old cut diamonds graduating in size horizontally from its centre. The diamonds, a 0.25 carat stone that’s accented by a pair of 0.15 carat and 0.10 carat stones, are rubover-set in platinum over 18 carat yellow gold, with the balance of the ring in yellow gold. The dazzling diamonds are of great quality, G in colour and VS in clarity. The rub over setting is finished off with a mille-grain edge which adds a little character to the piece, and the tone two metal work is classic of the early art deco period.
