Vintage Diamond, Sapphire and Ruby Dragonfly Brooch, c.1950s

This exotic and breath-taking piece of jewellery dates back to the 1930s. It is a stunning piece showing off sparkling diamonds, sapphires and rubies. The diamonds, which have a total weight of 1.82 carat, are all cut to fit perfectly. They are grain set and estimated as F to G in colour with a clarity grade of VS. The blue sapphires total 1.60 carat and are also grain set within the gold setting work. They are natural stones, matching the rubies which are a beautiful red colour. They combine to weigh 2.00 carat and finalise the wonderful art deco-inspired patterning across the body. The metal is both 18 carat yellow gold to highlight the gemstones and 18 carat white gold to help the diamonds shine. This dragonfly is certainly not one worth running away from and will make the perfect gift.
