Vintage 4.20ct Diamond and Sapphire Drop Earrings, c.1950s

A superb pair of drop earrings featuring old cut diamonds and blue sapphires. The stunning pair of matching diamonds at the bottom of the earrings are 2.10 carat each and have been certified by EDR as I-J in colour and VS in clarity. Surrounding these diamonds is a halo of square cut sapphires totalling to 1.50 carat. Running up the post are an additional three old cut diamonds on each one. These diamonds total to 0.30 carat. They have hinge back posts, typical of the 50s era. A combination of platinum and 18ct yellow gold have been used to create these head turning earrings.
