Victorian Ruby and Diamond 1.75 carat Bracelet, c.1880s
Out of stock
This delicate bracelet dates back to approximately 1880. The main attraction is the wonderfully cut rubies, which are kite shape. Very rare, and are a lovely red colour. They have been expertly set in a rub over setting made of 15 carat rose gold, and are encircled with a halo of diamonds in an oval shape. The rubies have a combined weight of 0.75 carat and are natural stones. The diamonds are old cuts, which indicates the age of the piece as well. They have a total weight of 1.00 carat, colour H and clarity VS are estimated. Beautifully set using rub over and grain settings, platinum is used to secured these stones. The platinum allows the white of the diamonds to truly shine through. The remainder of the bracelet is made of 15 carat rose gold, which is typical of American made jewellery. It is a lovely piece, with a huge level of craftsmanship to be admired.
