Victorian Old Pear Cut Diamond Cluster Ring, c.1880s

This delicate and unique ring highlights a very rare old pear cut diamond. The diamond, weighing 0.40 carat, has been hand cut and rub over set within silver. The stone has been estimated as G in colour and VS1 in clarity, which is top quality. Surrounding the stone, within the remainder of the cluster, are old cut round diamonds. They match the centre stone in quality and have a combined weight of 0.72 carat. True to the fashion of the Victorian era, all the diamonds are set within silver, whilst the gallery and band are handmade in 18 carat yellow gold.
