Victorian Diamond Necklace Pendant with Original Box, c.1880s

This ornate and elegant pendant features a beautiful centre stone weighing 0.50 carat within a rub over setting. The diamond is an old cut, and would have been hand carved, before being expertly hand set within platinum. The classic Victorian metal work is also to be admired for it’s craftsmanship. The elegant and almost floral design also features rose cuts diamond, studded throughout. They have a combined weight of 1.00 carat in total, making this pendant an impressive statement piece. It comes with the original chain, attached to the pendant at two points. It pinches just above the chain which gives the piece a higher level of stability. It comes in the handmade, and specially fitted box, simply wonderful!
