This delicate little brooch dates back to the 1880s and is a fabulous piece of Victorian jewellery. The handcrafted fly is a collection of gemstones including a total of 0.55 carat’s of old and rose cut diamonds. They are estimated as G in colour and VS in clarity. The bottom of the fly is a light lime green demantoid garnet. It is a natural gemstone weighing 0.15 carat, as are the two rubies for eyes which total 0.02 carat. The setting work is made in silver whilst the detailing and bar brooch have been made in 15 carat yellow gold. At either end of the bar are two natural pearls to finish off this beautiful piece.
