Victorian 6.50ct Peridot, Diamond and Pearl Necklace, c.1880s

Dating to the Victorian period, this intricately designed necklace centres around a 6.50 carat peridot. An unusual coffin cut stone, this vivid peridot is completely natural. A total of 1.30 carat in diamonds both surround the peridot and set across the beautifully flowing silver metalwork. Both old cut and rose cut diamonds are used. Below the pendant and on the decorative bail, two single pearls can be found completing the display. Backed in 15 carat rose gold, and held on a 16″ chain, this stunning necklace is classically Victorian in its creation.
