Victorian 5.00ct Pink Sapphire and Diamond Brooch, c.1880s

Hand crafted during the Victorian period, this stunning brooch is a true one off. The floral design centres around collection of five, old heart cut pink sapphires. The central sits the largest at 1.50 carat, with the flanking pair weighing 1.00 carat each and the two at either end sitting at 0.75 carat each. Surrounding the pink sapphires a collection of old cut and rose cut diamonds are set into beautifully aged silver, and total 0.45 carat. Forming the middle of the flower a single pearl sits elegantly. Backed in 15 carat rose gold the brooch features a simple pin clasp keeping it firmly in place on the wearer.
