Art Deco 2.58ct Diamond and Sapphire Necklace, c.1920s

A stunning example of Art Deco craftsmanship, this diamond and sapphire necklace radiates timeless elegance. At the base of the pendant, a 0.50 carat natural unheated sapphire is rub over set and framed by 0.43 carats of sparkling old cut diamonds. Suspended from a drop of five rub over set old cut diamonds, totalling 0.90 carats, the pendant connects to an ornate diamond set centrepiece adorned with an additional 0.75 carats. Finishing the display on either side of the necklace sits a further five rub over set diamonds bringing the total to 2.58 carat. The diamonds used in this stunning piece all range from H to I in colour and from VS to SI in clarity. Crafted in platinum and 18 carat white gold, the necklace measures 18 inches in length, with a graceful 5cm drop.
