Victorian 0.25ct Diamond and Ruby Bird Brooch, c.1880s
18 Carat Yellow Gold & Platinum
£1,450.00
In stock
This charming brooch from the 1880s has been crafted in the likeness of a swooping bird atop a pin brooch. A total of 0.25 carat of old cut diamonds adorn both the birds body and the end of the brooch. The diamonds match in quality at H in colour and VS in clarity. A dainty pair of rubies, 0.01 carat each, denote the birds eyes adding beautiful detailing to the piece. The bird itself is crafted in platinum, whilst the pin brooch and rear of the bird are in 18 carat yellow gold. A real gem of the Victorian period.
