A beautiful old cushion cut diamond is the centre of this Victorian star brooch. The diamond would have been hand cut, and is G colour and VS clarity. It is grain set in the 18 carat yellow gold, with carved sunrays radiating from the gem. This pattern is amplified in the outer sunrays making the brooches outline. This lovely brooch was made in the 1880s.
