A marquise-shaped bezel centring a lush red ruby weighing 0.35 carat. It is a lovely oval shape, and claw set using 18 carat yellow gold claws. It is surrounded by a cluster of old cut diamonds, which have a combined weight of 0.64 carat. They are G in colour and VS2 in clarity and although set in 18 carat yellow gold, this Victorian ring is topped with silver to help the dazzling stones shine. The tapering shank and hand carved shoulders are typical of the era.
