This classic late Victorian era ‘five stone’ ring features a colourful trio of old cut rubies interspersed with pairs of old cut diamonds, all set in rubover mountings with mille-grain edging. The diamonds have a combined weight of 0.40 carat and have been graded as VS in clarity and G in colour. They work hand in hand with the rubies, which have a combined weight of 0.80 carat. Handmade around the turn of the twentieth century, this antique piece is comprised primarily of 18 carat yellow gold; a subtle platinum embellishment emphasises the diamonds.
