Late Victorian Pearl Mourning Ring, c.1902

A rare piece of history, this Mourning ring dated back to c.1902. A trio of pearls adorn the face of the piece, the central on being 3mm whilst the flanking pair are 2.25mm a piece. Each pearl is set into 15 carat yellow gold then surrounded by the black enamelling, synonymous with the mourning ring. The thick shank features carved patterning across its length interspersed around the woven hair of the dearly departed that this ring commemorates.
