Late Victorian Diamond Solitaire Engagement, c.1900s

This delicate and hand crafted ring is the perfect antique engagement ring. It dates back to approximately the 1900s and is Victorian in style. The centre stone is a shining old cut, which weighs 0.52 carat. It is held securely in place by an eight claw setting, which is made of platinum. Down the shoulders, out of platinum as well, there is wonderful hand crafted detailing in between studded eight cut diamonds. They have a combined weight of 0.04 carat and are grain set. These shoulders the cascade into the 18 carat yellow gold band. The two metals were harmonised perfectly in the Victorian era and used to their full potential.
