Late Victorian Burmese Ruby and Old Cut Diamond Ring, c.1900s
18 Carat Yellow Gold
£4,500.00
In stock
Vertically-set pairs of old cut diamonds alternate with three oval-shaped Burmese rubies in this classic example of a late Victorian era ring. The ring is well-proportioned with the centre ruby weighing 0.85 carats, the two remaining rubies weighing 0.40 carats each, and total diamond weight of 0.40 carats. The diamonds, which are G in colour and VS in clarity, work in perfect harmony with the deep red rubies. Dating from the very early 1900s, the ring’s original 18 carat yellow gold setting features a fluted gallery and hand-carved details at the shoulders.
