This stunning engagement ring is a diamond solitaire on an 18 carat yellow gold band. The dazzling stone has been estimated as a G in colour and SI1 in clarity, which is a typical quality used in the 1940s. The diamond is held by six claws within a hand made platinum collet. The tapered shoulders and the small hoops within the shoulder setting are classic features of the deco period. It’s a wonderful design and suits any wearer.
