Kutchinsky Ruby and Diamond Starburst Brooch, c.1960s

Intricate 18 carat gold metal work is accented by rubies and diamonds in this stunning vintage starburst brooch from the designer Kutchinsky. Central to the design is a central round brilliant diamond surrounded by a cluster of rubies. Bursting out from this central cluster are an additional four rubies and two diamonds. The diamonds total 0.34 carat and match in quality at F in colour and VVS in clarity. The rubies total 1.00 carat, with all stones held within claw setting work. The Kutchinsky makers mark can be found to the rear of the piece behind the pin brooch fastening.
