Edwardian Sapphire and Diamond Flower Motif Earrings, c.1910s

These delicate Edwardian earrings feature blue sapphires and diamonds in a flower motif.  In the centre of each earring is a 0.40 carat old cut sapphire. Surrounding each sapphire are 12 eight-cut diamonds, totalling 0.36 carat in each earring. The stones are set in platinum, while the earring backs are made from 18 carat yellow gold. This use of two metals is typical of the Edwardian era. These earrings would make a lovely gift!
