Edwardian 2.40ct Aquamarine and Diamond Drop Necklace, c.1910s

Dating back to 1910s is this beautiful Aquamarine and diamond necklace. Suspended from a 15.5″ chain of 18 carat yellow gold, the design features a drop formation, showcasing the pair of exquisite aquamarines. At the top, a 0.75 carat aquamarine is rub over set, leading the eye down a platinum bar to a stunning 2.40 carat oval cut aquamarine.  Sat along the drop and framing the lower gemstone, a collection of old cut diamonds are set totalling 0.25 carat. Each stone is expertly set in platinum, while the piece is backed in rich 18 carat yellow gold.
