Edwardian 0.50ct Sapphire and Diamond Brooch, c.1910s

This charming brooch dates back to the Edwardian period. A single carat old cushion cut sapphire sits central, diagonally flanked by a pair of old cut diamonds. The vibrant blue sapphire is a 0.50 carat stone and is rub over set into platinum. The accompanying diamonds match in both size and quality, at 0.15 carat each with G colour and VS2 Clarity. This display of gems sits upon a 5cm bar brooch, platinum faced with an 18 carat yellow gold back and pin, keeping it firmly in place.
