Edwardian 0.25ct Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring, c.1910s

This charming cluster ring dates back to the Edwardian period. At its centre lies a deep blue, old cut sapphire. The sapphire weighs 0.25 carat and has been rub over set into platinum.  Surrounding the sapphire are seven old cut diamonds, each weighing 0.10 carat, forming a beautiful daisy like cluster. They each match in quality with H in colour and VS in clarity. The stones are meticulously set into platinum, with a contrasting 18 carat yellow gold basket and band. This elegant combination of platinum and yellow gold is typical of Edwardian design.
