Art Deco Fox Terrier Diamond and Onyx Brooch, c.1920s

This gorgeous little brooch is an original piece dating back to the 1920s. There are approximately 165 eight cut diamonds, grain set within the body of the dog. They have an estimated total carat weight of 5.00 carat, and are E in colour and VS in clarity. The detail of the ear, nose and eye are made of onyx, a semi-precious gemstone which adds to the fabulous character of this piece. All the diamonds have set expertly, and the refinement in the piece is to be admired. It comes within a fitted box and it is believed to be a fox terrier as the breed.
