Art Deco 1.15ct Diamond and Ruby Ring, c.1920s

This rare and exemplary Art Deco jewel was handmade at the height of the 1920s! The ring features a vertically-arranged trio of old cut diamonds framed by a beautiful and intricate border of colourful French cut rubies. The diamonds have a combined weight of 1.15 carat, and sparkle with grades of G in colour and VS in clarity. In true geometric Art Deco fashion, a stylised Greek key design comprises a rectangular border and the ring’s perimeter is paved with a rectangular frame of twinkling eight cut diamonds. This features many special details – from the gallery which exhibits a finely-featured openwork design, while three grain set eight cuts add a dash of sparkle to each of the ring’s shoulders.
