Art Deco 1.65ct Diamond and Onyx Drop Pendant Necklace, c.1920s

This beautiful necklace dates back to the 1920s and features a 1.65 carat diamond. It is an old cut diamond, which would have been hand cut, and has been estimated as H in colour and SI1 in clarity. It has been expertly rub over set and haloed by deep black onyx gemstones. The onyx totals a weight of 0.30 carat, all the stones have been hand cut to perfectly fit this necklace. The detail of the piece continues with two curving pieces of platinum which are studded with 0.07 carat of rose cut diamonds, leading to the top of the pendant. The diamond at the top of the pendant is 0.10 carat. An additional 0.43 carat of diamonds stud the platinum detailing. The stunning pendant sits on a platinum chain and has a fitted box.
