Vintage 0.70ct Diamond and Ruby Target Ring, c.1950s

A border of rich, red rubies encircles the sparkling round brilliant cut diamond ‘bullseye’ at the centre of this faithful recent rendition of an antique diamond and ruby target ring. The rubies total approximately 0.40 carat. At the outer edge, a twinkling border of grain set round brilliant cut diamonds bumps out at the cardinal points, adding visual interest and a heightened sense of style to the 18 carat white gold mounting. The outer border totals 0.22 carat and these dazzling diamonds match the centre stone in quality. The ring’s high calibre, period-quality craftsmanship is evident in the extensive millegrain work, ornately pierced gallery, decorative shoulders, and calibré style setting of the rubies.
