In stock
This Victorian brooch displays a captivating circular design, featuring a single original antique synthetic ruby at its centre. The claw set synthetic ruby weighs 3.50 carat and is cabochon cut, showing evidence of antique ruby synthesis methods used circa 1900. Surrounding the ruby is an array of diamonds. The largest of these sit in a halo of old cut diamonds, weighing a total of 3.75 carat. This halo is accompanied by two additional halos of rose cut diamonds totalling 1.42 carat. All the diamonds have been graded between I and J in colour and between VS and SI in clarity. The intricate design is further enhanced by black enamel work, encircling the ruby and forming a striking outer rim. This stunning brooch has been hand crafted in 18 carat yellow gold.
